I passed the FS Exam using only this book in April of 2017.This book has a ton of excellent practice problems that are very similar to the real exam. The solutions are as complete as could be expected, almost always enough information to understand the path.For background, I have no traditional education in surveying. My degree is in mechanical engineering, but I do work as a surveyor for a surveying firm. The real world knowledge/experience that I have gained through work was just as useful to me as this book. I'm not confident that I would have passed if i didn't have both the experience, and this book.
Wish the book broke things out by exam. Is just a giant collection of problems. So say you just need to study for FS, no way to focus on those type problems.
About as good a collection of realistic questions as you'll find.

I used this book to study from my Colorado LSI and PLS test that I took with the NCEES. The study material and problems in this book really prepare you for the test and use real world survey examples. Now that I am licensed PLS I will always keep this book in my library for reference. There is ton of good survey examples and it covers all the necessary subjects such as Boundary law, legal descriptions, Photogrammetry, surveying math, the PLSS and many other topics. I highly recommend this book if you are studying to take your surveying exam.
